Feb. 14th, 2009 @ 05:15 pm valentine's day...

Current Music: She's the one-Robbie Williams
Hello world! Happy valentine's day everyone over the net. Have a nice day and have fun with your boyfriend or girlfriend, and me? Well, I will spend the day alone because I'm not in love with anybody but, that's not a problem to me. I think that being alone this day helps a lot to think about past relationships (even if you had had none at all) and in what the future will bring to you in the love area.

Two weeks till school and well, no one wants to go back to the old schedule and being forced to study and work but in some way I really would like to get back like tomorrow... I know, sounds weird but anyway I want to see my friends everyday and to learn new stuff. I'm sure this year will be exhausting but very successful to me.

Have you ever noticed how weird is the stuff you dream when you have plenty of spare time?? Maybe you haven't but I've been reflexing about this and every time I'm on holidays I dream the stranger things ever, like the other day: I dreamed that I went through the country in a pair of rollers which is really impossible...

Okay, enough thinking and writing for today

Hi!
Okay it's summer and once more I don't have anything to do, so I will post in here. Almost one year since the last time I posted but I think it's good to practice my english (as I've said before) and because it helps me to clear up my mind a little bit. Well, this summer (just for you to know people from the northern hemisphere, we are in summer here) has been very quiet but I think I have changed the way I see life. I think I've learned not to worry about any little thing that goes against my plans and just relax.

Talking about something else, my new awesome layout I've changed just today. Actually I don't know if I will keep it because I was looking for something quite different. But for now , I like it. ALso, I've changed my mood emoticons and I put frogs! XD hahhahah who doesn't love frogs??? Okay,a lot of people but I do love them XD

That's for today, byee!

Who knows who this is? This is William Wallace a Scottish hero who lived during the thirteenth century. He fought during his whole life to get freedom for his country, and that’s the name of our presentation:Freedom.
INTRODUCTION (Manola)
Well, we are Mary Anne Argo, Moisés Castro and Manola Salgado and we are going to talk about Scotland and its history. Our goal is that you get interested in this country and that you know a little bit about it before you go to your trip next year. We will talk about some main facts, history, about the places you are going to visit and our experience.
DEVELOPMENT (Todos)
(Manola) Scotland is a country located in Europe, its capital is Edinburgh, the official language is English but they speak Gaelic as well. It has a population of five million people approximately and its flag is blue with a white cross across it. What surprised us the most about this country were the beautiful landscapes because there was a lot of green everywhere.
The places you are going to visit while you are in Scotland are: The Scottish parliament, stirling castle, Edinburgh castle and Wallace monument. AS we are talking about history, we are going to focus on the Wallace monument.
(Mary)The National Wallace monument was founded in 1869. It is located in Stirling, the place where Wallace’s most important battle took place. To get to the monument, you will have to walk a lot so put on a good pair of trainers. When we went to this place we had a very hot day and walking upwards didn’t help a lot .It has 246 spiral steps and it has 5 levels: 1rst one is the front desk where you pay for your tickets and there is the gift shop. The 2nd one is about Wallace’s life and what did he do to get freedom for his country. There you can see William’s famous sword as well. This sword is 1 metre and 40 centimetres long so we can think we was a very strong man. If you go up, you will arrive to the hall of heroes (3rd level) where you can see statues of Scottish famous people from the science, history, artistic and literature area and some of their achievements like the famous poet Robert Burns. In the 4th level you can see the monument’s history, about its architecture and creators and finally , in the 5th level you have one of the most beautiful views Scotland has to offer you, so don’t forget to take your cameras when you go there.
But wait, you must be asking what did William Wallace do to become Scotland’s hero and we are going to tell you just that.
England ruled over Scotland during seven hundred years. Tyranny and terror were the tools King Edward used to rule the country, so they needed a hero. William Wallace was that hero. He leaded the scottish people to get, finally their independence.

(Moises) Some battles happened during that time but the mos important was the Stirling’s bridge battle september the eleventh. The English army was defeated by the Scottish people and five thousand Englishmen were killed. Scotland was finally free.
Afther this he travel to England and there he was captured by a Scottish man who was loyal to England. In London he was stabbed, choked, dismembered and his head was exhibited in London’s bridge. His hands and feet were sent to different parts of Scotland. Of course this story has different versions because in that period of history they were not history books, so a bit of this is part of the history and some of the Legend
